The Shift-LCC x Generation Mag

The Shift was the most significant event for LCC. It consisted of the same idea as Untitled in that we wanted to merge various artists into one space. With this event we had artists submit their poetry which we hung from the ceiling for an interactive experience. We also had various clothing vendors from Canada come and join the event. For the live portion of the event we had artists submit audition videos. There was musicians, poets and singers.

The event was co-hosted by Generation Magazine who showcased work from painters and photographers from their magazine. The performances were scheduled at various times throughout the event. This allowed for the attendees to receive a fully immersive experience of the Shift.

The Shift symbolized a collective shift in our creative consciousness towards a more creative and collaborative mindset. Our goal was to help individuals see the benefits of working together and how that helps in adding support to the artistic community both at university and in Waterloo. Read about my experience the Shift below.
